You Know?

Campaign Design for Children

About

People’s gender varies, and how does children acknowledge their gender in the childhood? In some countries, gender knowledge is still lacking for children who believe in gender binary. It is necessary to help them to clearify, and correctly learn the gender science.

“YOU KNOW?” is a campaign design aim to generalize the gender knowledge to children with ages from six to twelve.

About the logo, I design it by a half-male and half-female image, which may seem a little weird yet kind and friendly. It may represent the amicable signal made by the transgenders to the whole world, and I hope more people to understand and tolerate them further. Moreover, I select the fonts with soft lines and relaxed style. The mysterious purple disk is made by the combination of baby pink and baby blue on the transgender banner, which represents the group of homoeroticism.

Map, Stickers, Handout

The guide design is a three-fold manual in A4 size. I apply the children's illustration style to the map. Users will conduct activities according to the information and signs on the map, and accurately locate each area of the activity site, such as washroom, rest area, etc.

In addition to maps, Handout also features four postcard-sized instruction cards that children can follow with drawings and text to learn how to play each game.
